Front End Developer
We are currently seeking a motivated, Front End Developer with fine attention to detail to join our development team working across client projects. You will be responsible for translating visual designs into valid standards compliant code working in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Experience
Formal IT qualifications or university degree are preferable but not essential if relevant industry experience can be demonstrated.
- Expert in producing valid XHTML and CSS which is table free, semantic and cross browser compatible
- Keen eye for detail and appreciation of design
- Expert on web standards and current accessibility standards
- Knowledgeable on Search Engine Optimisation best practices
- Hands-on knowledge of Javascript and AJAX
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good problem solver
- Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient.
- Must be able to function independently and still work well in a "team oriented" environment.
Optional Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of XML
- Flash/Actionscript
- Experience of jQuery, Prototype, YUI or other Javascript libraries
- Experience with source control tools such as Subversion
